Burak Demirel

Burak Demirel is the Head of the Istanbul office at Henley & Partners. He is a senior strategy and business development executive specializing in advising high- and ultra-high-net-worth families and their advisors on alternative residence and citizenship by investment options. Burak has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Simon Fraser University and an MSc in financial engineering from Özyeğin University. His master’s completion project on the ‘Turkish Citizenship by Investment Program’ was pioneering and one of the first academic research projects on the subject matter. In his most recent role, Burak developed growth strategies on behalf of the Türkiye Sovereign Wealth Fund led by the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye. He advises private clients based in Türkiye, while carrying out business development activities of the firm for the Türkiye Citizenship by Investment Program.
